Sometimes, good things happen unexpectedly. That's the case this week, as one day after my brother's wedding (congrats Don and Kim!!) I got a message from my good friends at Edmonton Block Heater. They had a cancellation for their show at the Railway Club on Tuesday and they were kind enough to ask me to step in! To say the least, I was flattered. Only one problem: my brother's wedding was in Calgary, and because my wife and I celebrated a beautiful one-year wedding anniversary yesterday, I'm still here in Calgary! So I'm trying to spread the word as much as I can via Facebook, Twitter, and telepathic mind-waves. All my CFord people, please tell a friend about the Railway show tomorrow night as this is just an awesome, awesome opportunity and I'd love to share it with all y'all. The CrunchNow, if you'd believe it, that's not the only opportunity/ulcer-inducing stressor that I've been hit in the nuts with this week. I was contacted on Saturday by Brian Thompson over at the DIY Daily/Thorny Bleeder asking to feature my song Steady at the Wheel on his show! I'll be played during his daily podcast all week, and you can listen to it in the shower with one of these*. I'm actually a subscriber to his email list and I'm really excited to be featured. So in summary: WHAT A WEEK. I'm back in Vancouver tonight for tomorrow's show, and then I fly BACK to Calgary on Thursday for a good buddy's wedding. ...I must be a special kind of crazy. *not an ad. I just think that kind of thing is hilarious.
