Has it been two weeks already?!?! I have so much NEWS to hit your face with, but I'll get into all that further down. First - Donations launch for the first ever CFord fundraiser campaign! So my regular readers will know that on April 6 I will be doing something very bizzare: I will be locking myself in a room and listening to 24 hours of bad music. Why? For cash, of course! I want your help in funding my next recording. You, my fans, will pick the songs you want to force me to listen to, and I will livestream the whole event on this website for your viewing entertainment. We'll donate 10% of the proceeds to a charity, so if we hit our target of $1000, $100 will go towards kittens in need. Or something. We'll all decide together what charity we want to donate to once we've counted the sweet, sweet money. Head on over to the Donate page to er, ...donate! Poll still going - Name My EP!
I also still play musicRemember how in addition to being a blogger extraordinaire and a shameless self-promoter, I also plunk out notes on the ol' sixstring? I played a show on Friday at Trees that was well-attended and a blast to be a part of. The other performers were fantastic, the crowd was super into it, and we unveiled the brand new CFord stickers. Stickers are only available at shows, FREE OF CHARGE. Isn't that incredible*?!? To top the whole night off, one of the fans in attendance was sporting a CFord shirt (available over at the Store, don'tcha know)! I played a Brett Dennen cover - I've been listening to a lot of his stuff lately. What a cool image he has (check out his glasses in this video for 'Comeback Kid'). My image might need some work - my wife told me that she spent half the show frantically trying to signal me to remove my jacket. Needless to say, I was probably too busy rocking steady to notice her gestures. Show on the 27thLast bit of news - my last show of March will be played on Wednesday the 27th at 9PM at Kozmik Zoo on Broadway. It's going to be a really good one, as I'm sharing the stage with two really talented acts. Check out the Facebook event for more information and to see their websites, and I'll see you all out there! I'm going on a cruise next week with my wife to the Caribbean. Yoho, me hearties - yoho! -CFord *this has been independently verified. It is, indeed, incredible.
