First things first - thanks to everyone for the response to 'Warrior in Chains.'  We ended up with 400+ hits over the last three days, which is just incredible.  It's put us into the top 10 ReverbNation Singer/Songwriters in the Vancouver area, and that's all thanks to you guys!  Maddest of respects, choicest of props, etc., etc.

Contests (and more)...

I've been getting some good submissions for the 'Name My EP' contest, but y'all gotta keep those coming so that we can get a good vote through.  As a reminder, you can send those to booking@c-ford.net, post them in the comments below, or post them in the Facebook page.

I've also got another promotion coming down the pipeline that's going to require some audience participation to make work.  Here's the premise:

Make Chris listen to bad music!

Picture
The foundation here is the classic "what would you rather listen to LESS than _____ " game, times a bajillion.  In a few weeks, I will lock myself into a room for at least 24 hours with only my computer and speakers blaring the crappiest music you can think of.  Why am I going to do this?

Because of two things:

1. I enjoy a challenge and
2. I need money

That's right folks, this is ye olde fundraising venture.  By purchasing a small (or large) chunk of time in the playlist, you can donate to the next CFord recording becoming a reality.  I'll also hold a vote where we can pick a charity together to whom we can donate a percentage of the proceeds.

(For the record - I, myself, do not constitute a charity.)

The idea is still in its later stages of adolescence.  Let's give it time to work through the awkwardness, and then we'll reconvene with a detailed plan next week.

I'll leave you with

A Harlem Shake.

Chris - Ideas for the EP title:

1) The Jay Ingram Commemorative Collection (gold edition)
2) Liquid Nightmares

Jay,

Wow. Evocative titles. I especially like how the first one is timeless, could be interpreted in so many ways, and really tells a story.

The second one makes me want to go to the bathroom - like I said, evocative!
